The French word Abécédaire in the title means both “ABCD” and a “beginner’s guide.” This exhibition, starting with “A is for Animal” and “B is for Balance,” focuses primarily on oil paintings in introducing our museum’s collection in terms of a variety of categories, from A to Z. Under these independent categories, which develop like flash cards, works not usually adjacent to each other are displayed side by side, to experience the novel fascination of these works and paintings’ essence.
