Akinori MIURA has expanded the pictorial possibilities of his search for painting materials and techniques. As he nears fifty years as a painter, this exhibition looks back on his work and his words at the time he created them, from works in color, using a combination of oils and tempera, to silverpoint monochromes. What are the answers to the questions he kept exploring as he depicted them? Before the light and the darkness filling the picture plane, we encounter birth, death, matters we never dare to look straight in the eye.
